OUR STORY

Hi! My name is Jayla and I am St. Anthony's alum and current NYU student. I am an aspiring entrepreneur and passionate vegan foodie. I love to play soccer,  cook, and volunteer. As I approached my freshman year at NYU, I realized I had a strong interest in business. Additionally, since I was a child, I could always be found in the kitchen cooking dinner, baking healthy muffins, or helping my parents prepare food. I decided to combine my two passions and created "Apples & Pi" in 2018. I baked apple pies for almost every family gathering since 2015, perfecting my recipe each time. So what better product to start my business journey? When I first started my business, as I sold more and more apple pies, I got requests for many different types of flavors. I'm glad to say I now have a variety of delicious pies. Now Crumble Pie Co. represents way more than apple pie but all the signature crumb pies I have created and will create!

Crumble Pie Co. bakes each pie with simple organic ingredients and fresh fruit to provide the highest quality pie could deliver.

Crumble Pie Co. is 100% run by Jayla and assisted by her sister Brianna (another college student at St. Rose ☻). We both hand-bake, box, and sell our pies every week at various farmer's markets and via online orders.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to provide families with delicious pies and most importantly, spread love.

Crumble Pie Co. donates $1 for each pie sold to local charities and non-profit organizations.

As a St. Anthony's student, I was taught for Franciscan values: live lovingly, proclaim hope and joy, be living instruments of peace, and care for creation. I wish to implement these practices into my life and to inspire others to these values.

So... let's spread the love and share some pie.

I also want to thank my mom for always helping me in anyway she can and my family & friends for supporting me!

...You rescued an additional 328 pounds of groceries with every dollar you contributed!
That's thousands of pounds of groceries shared with the hungry this week because of you!...
The assistance you provided with Community Solidarity helps many of these families and seniors avoid hunger with nutritious plant-based groceries. It's pretty amazing, you helped a lot of people!
Thank you again,
